In her remarks, Amal Al-Afeefi, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award for Education, emphasized that the 53rd annual Eid Al Etihad commemorates the remarkable journey of the Union State’s founders, including the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God bless his soul) and his brothers. These men presented a unique opportunity to come together when they embarked on this blessed journey, which brought prosperity and advancement to the country and its people coming from all walks of life. The Union State’s goodwill along with the massive philanthropy projects have reached every corner of the globe, representing the values of the Emirates as a generous nation.
Al-Afeefi praised the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and their brothers, Their Highnesses the Sheikhs, Members of the Supreme Council of the Union, Rulers of the Emirates, for this endeavor that consistently represents advancement and affluence for future generations.
Al-Afeefi stated that education has been a critical component of the Union State’s progress. The UAE education system has met the nation’s requirements for specialized cadres in a variety of vital sectors, including health, education, economy, foreign trade, the military and police corps, the diplomatic corps, and other specializations.
