Excellence has been the primary purpose of the Khalifa Award for Education since its establishment in 2007. The award continues the tradition of recognizing and rewarding outstanding educational achievements at all levels, nationally and internationally. The General Secretariat of the Award provided more details about how the award has succeeded over the past 17 years. They said that the field of education has been dramatically enhanced by the distinguished experiences and expertise of the awardees, who come from all walks of life and contribute to different aspects of the educational process. The awardees include prominent families, educators, institutions, researchers, academic leaders, and entities and institutions involved in educational affairs. Their shared vision is to help the education system stand out and stay up with the times, creating a diverse and inclusive global academic community.
The General Secretariat indicated that it began implementing applied workshop programs for excellence yesterday in its eighteenth session, 2024-2025 and that they will continue throughout the current month of September. These programs will target different parts of the educational process and potential candidates from within and outside the country interested in academics and teaching. In addition to the current session’s areas, these seminars include ten fields over seventeen categories, one of which is the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning. The Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award for Education, Amal Al-Afeefi, expressed gratitude on behalf of the award for the work of the judges, lecturers, previous workshop winners, and attendees representing different sectors of the education industry. The workshops aim to bring together individuals from the educational field to further the message, goals, and initiatives of the Khalifa Award for Education, which aims to promote academic and educational excellence on a global scale.
Each expert reviewed the most important teaching methods and techniques for a creative teacher in the digital age, focusing on using advanced tools and technologies in the classroom. They also discussed topics related to higher education, specifically the role of the distinguished university professor who uses technology in the classroom, as well as innovative approaches to teaching Arabic, incorporating modern methods into the mother tongue, and finding ways to motivate students to embrace Arabic language learning through the use of creative applications and technologies.
According to Al-Afeefi, presenters and attendees engaged in lively discussion during every course, sharing insights and anecdotes in a setting that promoted academic and pedagogical excellence.
