His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirmed the pride of the educational field in the Kingdom of the pioneering role played by the Khalifa Award for Education in spreading the culture of excellence locally and internationally, pointing out that education in the Kingdom of Bahrain is witnessing a continuous renaissance in all its fields, which enhances The Kingdom’s position and leadership at the global level.
His Excellency praised the pioneering role played by the Khalifa Award for Education in the United Arab Emirates in supporting and encouraging creativity, innovation, and scientific and educational research in the various stages of education and its contribution to attracting and disseminating successful international practices, stressing the support of the Kingdom of Bahrain for this valuable award, within the framework of close cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
This came during His Excellency’s reception yesterday of the delegation of the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education, which is currently visiting the Kingdom. The delegation includes Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Trustees, Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Award, Dr. Suad Al-Suwaidi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Award, Dr. Khaled Al-Abri, Dr. Jameela Khanji, and Hamid. Ibrahim members of the Executive Committee of the award.
During the meeting, Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri said: Today, as a delegation of the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education in the United Arab Emirates, we are pleased to be on a visit dear to our hearts to the sister Kingdom of Bahrain, for which we have all the love and appreciation, and we turn to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, expressing We express our pride in the fraternal relations that bind His Majesty with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, which are deeply rooted in the history between the leaderships and peoples of our two brotherly countries.
Al Dhaheri affirmed the award’s pride in the participation and contributions of brothers in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain in the various sessions of the award.
For her part, Amal Al-Afifi indicated during the meeting that the Khalifa Award for Education recorded pioneering achievements in spreading the culture of excellence in the educational field locally, regionally, and internationally. Al-Afifi said: The Khalifa Award for Education, with the follow-up and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Presidential Court and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Award, presents in this session an issue about the legal educational personality that is honored in appreciation of its efforts in supporting and advancing the education process, as witnessed The current session also developed with regard to the coordination and arbitration committees, in a way that enhances the course of the award and consolidates its relationship with the educational field.
She explained that the award offered 10 fields in this session, including 17 categories, including: the educational legal personality, the field of the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning (the research and studies category, the category of programs, curricula, teaching methodologies and Practices), and the field of general education (the creative teacher category, and the institutional educational performance category). The field of higher education (the category of distinguished university professor), the field of people of determination (the category of individuals, the category of institutions and centers), the field of education and community service (the category of institutions, the category of the distinguished Emirati family), and the field of creativity in teaching Arabic (the category of the distinguished university professor), And the field of educational research (the category of educational research, and the category of research on studies of children’s literature), and the field of educational authorship for children (the category of educational creations), and the field of innovative educational projects and programs (the category of individuals, the category of institutions, and the category of students).
Al-Afifi appreciated the efforts of the educational field in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain since the launch of the award procession in 2007, where the various sessions of the award witnessed a rich participation from the various elements of the field in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, and a number of them topped the podiums, indicating that the award was honored since the start of its career until the last session (480) Winner and winner at the local and Arab levels.
Dr. Suad Al-Suwaidi explained during the meeting that the award presented, for the first time in the world, the field of Khalifa International Award for Early Education, and this field translates the interest and care given by the United Arab Emirates to early childhood, and this field includes two categories: the category of research and studies, and the category of programs, curricula, teaching methodologies and practices.
She pointed out that this field aims to enrich the culture of excellence and creativity, encourage research and studies, discover and evaluate advanced programs, methodologies and teaching methods, encourage distinguished teachers, activate the role of specialized educational centers, institutions and companies in early childhood, honor the best personal experiences, and pay attention to the field of people of determination in the field of education. early childhood, promote the dissemination of the best studies and the most successful practices and methodologies in the field of early education, and enhance the various social, physical, mental, intellectual, creative, psychological, cognitive and emotional fields in the early education and childhood years, and enrich innovative education programs distinguished by research, studies, programmes, curricula, methodologies and advanced teaching methods in the field of early education, And motivating teachers who are creators of change through best practices and innovation in the field of early education, and activating and encouraging the role of centers, institutions and specialized education companies in the field of early childhood.
During the meeting, Dr. Khaled Al-Abri gave an introductory overview of the fields presented and the nomination mechanisms for each of them. Dr. Jameela Khanji gave an explanation on several fields, including educational research, innovative educational projects and programs, and educational authorship for children. Hamid Ibrahim touched on the award’s interest in launching the latest smart applications. And employing advanced technology in the various stages of performance, as the award has developed during the last period an integrated system of smart electronic applications that enhance interaction between the award and the various elements of the educational field locally, regionally, and internationally.
On the other hand, the award delegation visited “Derasat Center” and was received by Dr. Hamad Ibrahim Al-Abdullah, Executive Director of the center and a few officials. During the meeting, experiences were exchanged, and the message and objectives of the award were introduced, as well as the fields presented and the nomination mechanisms.
