“Khalifa Award”: screening candidates’ applications for the sixteenth session has started.

The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education announced the end of the deadline for receiving candidates’ applications for the sixteenth session 2022-2023, which was launched at the beginning of last September, and included an introductory program and practical workshops with the participation of a number of experts, specialists, members of the arbitration committees and the winners to introduce the fields of the current session, moreover, introducing specific criteria for each field and the nomination mechanism through the website.
Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary General of the Khalifa Award for Education, emphasized the importance of this session, which witnessed intense activity and events introducing the award’s message, objectives and role in spreading the culture of excellence in the educational field, as the current session included 10 fields divided into 17 categories as follows:
Distinguished Educational Personality,
Khalifa International Award for Early Learning Field (Best Research and Studies category, and Best Programs, Curricula, Teaching Methodologies and Practices category), the field of General Education (the Creative Teacher category Institutional Education Performance category), the field of Higher Education (Distinguished University lecturer category) , the field of People of Determination (the category of individuals, and the category of Institutions and Centers), and the field of Education and Community Service (the institution category, and the Distinguished Emirati family category), the field of Innovation in teaching the Arabic language (Distinguished University Lecturer category), and the field of Educational Researches (category of educational research, and category of Children’s Literature Study Research), the field of Educational Authorship for Children (Educational Innovations category), and the field of Innovative Educational Projects and Programs (individuals, institutions, and students categories).
Al-Afifi further explained that as soon as the processes for receiving applications are completed according to the allocated timeframe for the current session, specialized teams are responsible for sorting out the nominated works and making sure that criteria and conditions for each of the proposed fields are precisely fulfilled. This process of screening applications comes the process of arbitration of the nominated works by committees competent in their allocated field. Afterwards comes evaluation stage, interviews and field visits, and eventually the names of the winners will be announced in May.
Al-Afifi expressed the award’s general secretariat appreciation for the contributions of the educational field in both its general and university parts, the award is for the current session, whether at the state or university level orThe Arab world, stressing the award’s pride in this societal interaction with the fields offered, which covers various aspects of the educational process and enhances the message of excellence.
