Khalifa Educational Award inaugurates its 13 cycle
According to the directives of His Highness Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy prime minster , minster of presidential Affairs the chairman of board of trustee of Khalifa Award for education the Award launched today its 13 session 2019/2020 and started with effect from today accepting the applications of candidates for this session to contest in nine fields coming under it 18 categories covering different aspects of educational system in its two dimensions of high education and general education on local and Arab level as well as people of determination and distinguished Emirati family . the accepting of applications will continue till 31 December the coming and the results will be announced in April the coming.
This was mentioned during a press conference organized by the general secretariat of the Award to announce the launching of new the new session in attendance of her excellency Amal Alafifi , the secretary General of the Khalifa Award for education and Suaad Al Suwaidi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Award , Dr. Khalid Al Ibri, Humaid Ibrahim and Dr. Jamila Khanji members of the executive committee of the Award and a number of academic and School leaderships and Media personal in the state .
At the beginning of the meeting Amal Al Afeefi lauded the Sponsorship of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan president of the state may Allah preserve him of the March of the Award which feels proud of carrying his name , Amal continued to emphasize that the Award aims in its mission to boost the education system in its different stages and categories translating the directives of the wise leadership and their support , it care and attention to education process under the sponsorship of his Highness the president of the state may Allah preserve him and his brother His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai may Allah take care of him and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Crown prince of Abu Dhabi Deputy supreme commander of the Armed forces .
Al Afeefi referred that the Award is inspired in its March towards distinction and pioneering locally, regionally and internationally by the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansur Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy prime minister and minister of presidential affairs chairman of Board of trustees of the Award as his Highness is keen of the Award to be the forefront of educational specialized Awards in all fields .
A comprehensive development for the electronic site and smart applications to upgrade communication with candidates locally and in the Arab level
The Secretary General of the Award presented a Scientific display about the presented fields for the 13 cycle which consist of: General Education as there are two categories that have been allocated for the local creative teacher locally and in the Arab level and the promising teacher, the educational establishment performance, the field of the people of determination for both of its categories individuals and establishments, and the field of creativity in teaching Arabic with three categories among them is the distinguished teacher category and two categories of distinguished university professor locally and in the Arab level , general education field and community service which consists of Emirates distinguished establishment and distinguished Emirati family and high education field which comprise the distinguished university professor locally and in the Arab level , and educational research which is divided into educational research category and studies pertaining to child literature and educational authorship for children which is allocated for one category about educational creativities directed towards children and the field of innovated educational projects and programs which is divided into three categories namely individuals establishment and students, also the Award is allocated for the field of educational corporate personality in recognition for the contribution and efforts of that personality in enhancing the education process .
To present the field of the people of determination aiming at consolidating this essential category in the community
From her side Suaad Alsuwaidi referred that the Khalifa Award attempts to reach its place in the fore front of specialized educational Awards locally and in the Arab level, in this regard the Award accomplished during the previous period a comprehensive evaluation process from all sides technically and scientifically which supports its ability to reach all scientific and educational elements as well as community establishments that have a concern with the presented field in the current session, in this connection the general Secretariat of Khalifa Award prepared a work plan consisting practical workshops, lectures, symposiums and field visits aiming at exchanging experiences and distinguished services among the successful candidates in previous session since launching the Award in 2007 so as to integrate knowledge enrichment which the Award is calling for through its mission in inciting those who are working in the educational field to distinction in different stages of performance weather in the school, university or community that are concerned with education issue, from his side Dr. Khalid Alibri presented a brief extract about developing scientific criteria of the presented fields during the 13 session confirming that the development process for such criteria has been discussed and drafted by specialized committees , so as the criteria becomes clear for the probable candidates and provide transparent measuring mechanism for the nominated works for the new session in different fields, clarifying that the Award during the session amalgamated a number of categories together to give a chance to a greater number of candidates to submit for such categories .
Humaid Ibrahim said that the Award developed smart applications according to a modern technology system to abridge time and effort in communication with the educational field and probable candidates for the current session as the Award accomplished comprehensive updating for its web site in a way that makes it more flexible way and ensure to widen its base to make use of the technological services it provides in various practical educational elements in the field locally and in the Arab world level , Humaid clarified that the communicating process with the probable candidates for the current session will be done through smart applications and an electronic mail has been allocated for that in order to eliminate any obstacle that encounters the candidates and respond to their inquiries pertaining to the scientific criteria of the displayed fields and the categories coming under it , noting that the new electronic mail for the Award represents a quality move on the way of widening the base of interactors with this session from concerned different educational and community establishments inside and outside of the state .
The distinguished Emirati family category sheds light on pioneering creativities in supporting the education process
From her side, Dr. Jamila Khanji called for the education field to interact with the new session for the Awards through launching initiatives and inaugurating distinguished projects in the education field in the state and Arab countries level referring that the Award allocated diverse fields which opens a great door in front of all scientific and educational elements to join in the March for distinction and upgrade the education system , such fields consist of creativity in teaching Arabic language which open a wide horizon towards distinction in ways and method of teaching our mother language and also the field regarding people of determination which is considered a pioneering field reflecting the care which our wise leadership is giving to such community and prepares for them supportive environment to integrate them with the community through educational programs and initiatives witnessed by the educational field locally and universally, in addition to the distinctive feature of the Award in presenting the distinguished Emirates family category which is the category shedding light on the great efforts made by Emirates family in caring for the children and supporting their educational March to go forward to horizons of creativity , innovation and pioneering brilliant future in front of them .
