The “Distinguished Teacher” category aims at promoting a culture of distinction in the field of education
Dr. Qaseem Mohamed Alshanag Director of Estimation Administration in the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi confirmed in his lecture “ how can I become a distinguished pioneer teacher “ that the distinguished pioneer teacher became one of the basic concepts that upgrade the development of education and its advancement in the digital age, referring to the fact that preparing such a model requires a great effort since the early stages of preparing the teacher to perform this role.
Alshanag referred during his lecture to a number of signs and characteristics which should be enjoyed by the distinguished pioneering teacher as well as the roles assumed by him inside the classroom and in the educational establishment in which he belongs to weather it is a university or school or others, this role for the distinguished pioneer teacher extends to consist his community and environment in which he is living in and interacting with.
Alshanag clarified that the distinguished pioneer teacher should possess a number of skills to communicate with the digital student in the 21 century and these are diverse and continually developed skills in the light of successive technologies witnessed by this age and to employ artificial technology and the fourth generation industrial revolution in methods and ways of teaching and other fields of preparing the learning environment that incites creativity.
Qaseem Alshanag: The distinguished pioneer teacher should have communication skills with the digital student.
Director of evaluation administration at the department of education and knowledge discussed in his lecture by explaining a number of strategies regarding active learning, cooperative learning , standardization, role-playing, brainstorming, problem solving and presenting scientific applications for such strategies and their mechanisms used in education process in a way clarifying the concept of the distinguished pioneer teacher and specifying characteristics and merits of that pioneering teacher, his roles and other skills which he should possess.
From her said Amal Alafifi , the Secretary-General of Khalifa Award confirmed the importance of this lecture which comes within the context of the cultural program of the Award and its mission in establishing distinction in the field of education and its different stages referring that the Award in its recent session continues to perform a number of practical workshop and education lectures that aim at strengthening the skills of those who are working in the education field inciting them to become distinctive to reach quality performance in the educational process of different elements.
At the end of the lecture Amal Alafifi gave to Dr. Alshanag the shield of the Award in honor of his lecture.
