His Excellency Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education and Technical Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt, stressed the importance of the role and message of the Khalifa Award for Education in spreading the concepts of excellence for educational performance in the various stages of the educational process, indicating that the award has succeeded since its launch in 2007 to be a prominent platform for discovering the distinguished in The educational field, sponsoring them, and pushing their educational projects and initiatives to horizons serving students’ personality as it enables sharpening skills required t to excel in modern age.
His Excellency Dr. Reda Hegazy stated,” The educational process development that we aim to achieve is revolved around the teacher as the cornerstone of the process of advancing education, as the development of the school environment focuses entirely on developing the teacher, enhancing his role and providing him with the skills of the age that enable him to interact with a student who surrounds him. An electronic and digital environment that renews his knowledge and opens his perceptions, hence the importance of the areas offered by the Khalifa Award for Education in serving the educational field locally, regionally, and internationally.
This came during His Excellency’s reception, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Cairo, of the delegation of the Khalifa Award for Education, headed by Mohamed Salem Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Trustees. This reception also was attended by numerous professional and leaders from the Ministry of Education Technical education in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Reda Hegazy welcomed the award delegation, pointing to the peculiarity of the fraternal relations that unite the two countries, and t their role in advancing the education process and strengthening the efforts of those in charge of it in facing the requirements of the times, and he explained that the Ministry is proud of this cooperation with the Khalifa Award for Education, which will allow future initiatives building up between the two sides. Initiatives such as linking to the websites of the Ministry and the Award, in order to enhance the mechanism of identifying the goals and message of the Award and the fields presented in it by more than 25 million students, teachers working under the umbrella of the Ministry, and among them there are many talents and creators who are eager to participate in the Award, which we are proud to bear a dear name On our hearts, in Egypt we have all the love and appreciation for the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, and for the wise leadership in the United Arab Emirates.
For his part, Mohamed Salem Al-Dhaheri presented to His Excellency the Minister the thanks and appreciation of the award for this cooperation, pointing to what the education and technical education sector is witnessing in the Arab Republic of Egypt and the role of this sector in providing the educational field with specialized cadres, which represent one of the main pillars of human development in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Amal Al-Afifi stressed the interest of the award in closer cooperation with the ministry and keenness to introduce the fields presented in the sixteenth session and to prepare the educational field in the Arab Republic of Egypt to participate in the activities of the award, whether in this session or the next sessions, especially with the presence of these large numbers of distinguished students, whether in school administrations or teachers, researchers and academics who provide initiatives that promote educational performance in the educational field.
For her part, Dr. Suad Al-Suwaidi touched on introducing the field of the Khalifa International Award for Early Education, pointing out the importance of this field, which embodies the care and attention given by our wise leadership to this category and the keenness to provide an educational and social environment that prepares them for the release of their talents, care for these talents and empower them in the educational field.
Dr. Khaled Al-Abri stressed that the areas presented in the Khalifa Award for Education cover various aspects of the educational process, which makes the increase in the participation of workers in the education and technical education sector in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt wide, especially considering the distinguished initiatives offered by many workers in this sector.
At the end of the meeting, commemorative shields were exchanged between the two sides.
The award delegation also continued its field tour by visiting one of the outstanding schools for science and technology in Obour City, which was launched by the Ministry as a new educational initiative that sponsors outstanding students and provides them with an internal environment in the school, which was equipped according to the best international standards.
The award delegation was received by Mr. Mohamed Attia, Head of the Central Administration for Education with Expenses, who gave the members of the delegation a comprehensive overview of the philosophy of these schools and their mission in attracting outstanding students and providing an educational environment that encourages them to excel and excel through standards related to the provision of distinguished teachers, distinguished educational and training infrastructure, as well as supervision. In addition to shedding the light on administrative and educational support the student gets when they are served with an internal residence in the school where performance is monitored daily, so they continue to excel in science, mathematics, and other fields that make these outstanding scientists and creators and put them on the beginning of the path towards the future.
