Jamila Khanji: Developing mothers and fathers abilities to renew modern education methods for children

 

The general secretariat of Khalifa Award for Education Organized a workshop under the name Creativity and innovation in child education, dealing with a number of concepts about the growing stages of child’s mind as a main introduction of education, creativity and developing the abilities of mothers  and fathers for flexibility and renewal in education methods and dealing with children and other spheres with the attendance of group of those who work in schools and those who are specialized in education .

The practical workshop was presented by Dr. Jamila Khanji – consultant of studies and researches at family development foundation in Abu Dhabi, member of Executive committee of Khalifa Award, with the attendance of Amal AlAfifi Secretary-General of Khalifa Award for Education , a number of members of the Executive Committee of Khalifa Award and Schools and Educational Commands in the State level .

Amal AlAfifi referred to the importance of this practical workshop which is dealing with a critical subject regarding creativity and innovation in Child education Specially in this digital age which is witnessing a continual rise in technology in our daily life and what is connected to that field of diverse knowledge and educational experiments which compels parents to examine it in order to apply the best of it in child education and putting them in the correct track .

She  drawed the attention of the General Secretariat of the award the importance of holding such practical workshops which  attracts school leaders and educationalists in Scientific Symposiums about spheres relating to the presented fields of the Award like the educational compilation for children in state and Arab Level, which is one of the fields that witnesses a great enthusiasm from those who are serving in the field of education to take part in such symposiums and to present initiatives in educational compilation, and from this perspective comes the importance of this workshop at the end of an academic year in which Khalifa Award exerted a great effort in achieving quality addition  to the march of developing education in the state through a defining program of the introduced fields and to translate its mission in inciting those working in the educational field to creativity, innovation and serving the education development strategy locally and in the Arab world level . From her side Dr. Jamila Khanji presented to the attendants in the workshop who were distributed in groups a scientific application for modern educational practices which boost concepts of creativity and innovation in modern education for children through the concept of creative education which polishes the child personality and opens in front of him broad horizons of distinction in encountering present and future challenges .

Dr. Khanji referred to the importance of encouraging the parents to creative thinking in solving the problems of the children and the application of innovative solutions impeding innovation as well as developing a number of educational and creative methods and testing the same by the child and to specify and applicable ideas according to a brain map for each child. And to know individual differences among children and to deal with each child considering him an innovative independent case and other ways and methods which parents and the family deal with in general in the framework of looking into the educational future of those children by considering them leaders of tomorrow.

The workshop consisted of detailed discussions between the lecturers and the attendants  who were educationalists and school leaders about the need for complementarity between school roles and the family in stabilizing the creative education concept of the child since the early stages of his life and before joining the school by opening the horizons of the child on future through a creative vision in education.
