The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education has long recognized the significance of the judging teams’ contributions to the promotion of the award’s message and objectives, the establishment of objective and transparent standards for sorting, evaluating, and judging the works nominated for the award, and their leadership in elevating the Award to a position of prominence among specialized educational awards on a global scale. The judging teams consist of experts and specialists from a wide range of educational institutions, including both higher and general education institutions, as well as community entities involved in educational affairs.

This occurred while the teams of judges were meeting with representatives from the General Secretariat of the Award, who were joined by Dr. Khaled Khamis Al-Abri, a member of the Award’s Executive Committee.

In her opening remarks, Amal Al-Afeefi, Secretary-General of the Award, emphasized the significance of the conference, which reviewed the work of the expert and specialist arbitrators who uphold the prestige and leadership of the Award on a global, regional, and local scale. She went on to say that the Khalifa Award for Education is a leading light among specialized educational awards, and that its mission and programs uphold the principles of impartiality and openness in evaluating the merit of submitted works and the good influence they have on educational institutions, classrooms, and universities.

As part of its ongoing commitment to quality, the Award’s arbitration teams are diligently sifting, evaluating, and judging nominated works across a wide range of disciplines; this session alone features ten disciplines across seventeen categories. Dr. Khalid Al-Abri, representing the General Secretariat of the Award, acknowledged the tremendous work done by the arbitration teams in both the past and present sessions. He went on to say that the teams consist of highly qualified individuals, each with extensive knowledge in their own scientific and applied fields, and that their combined efforts have helped to elevate the award’s reputation and spread its message of educational excellence.

The meeting covered topics such as the judges’ interventions on the most prominent proposals to improve performance and the General Secretariat of the Award’s efforts to use advanced technologies to electronically receive nominated works and handle sorting, evaluation, and arbitration processes accurately and efficiently through the website. The website is constantly being developed and updated by the Award, which saves time and effort while achieving the required accuracy in handling candidate files.
