Members of the Executive Committee of the Khalifa Award for Education stressed the significance of spreading the culture of excellence in the educational field at its various stages and age groups, enabling all elements of the educational process to spread the concept of excellence among students of all age groups, and give them a culture of excellence and the necessity of dealing with it as a curriculum of life, whether in the academic or applied aspect of life.

This came during a meeting of the Award’s Executive Committee, headed by Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Award, and in the presence of Dr. Souad Al-Suwaidi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Award, Dr. Khaled Al-Abri, Dr. Jameela Khanji, and Hamid Ibrahim, members of the Executive Committee.

At the beginning of the meeting, Amal Al-Afifi stressed the importance of the message and objectives of the Khalifa Award for Education, as well as its role in advancing the education system locally and regionally through the proposed fields, which cover various fields of the educational and research process in schools, universities and higher education institutions.

Al-Afifi stated that the agenda for the meeting covered a wide range of subjects, such as enhancing the award’s standing as a leader in specialized educational awards at the state, regional, and global levels; raising community awareness of the award’s purpose and role; inspiring professionals in the field to attend its sessions; and fortifying ties with previous session winners in order to gain insight from their experiences in promoting excellence through the initiatives and projects they have showcased that advance the educational process in their respective institutions.

The meeting also discussed a number of statistics related to the increase in demand for nominations for the current session, as well as the development that the award has witnessed in its electronic platforms, which saves effort and time and ensures the quality of all nominated works, as candidates’ applications are accepted electronically in addition to being sorted, evaluated, and judged by specialized committees electronically as well, which is It establishes standards of transparency and objectivity in measuring the excellence of nominated works and their suitability to win this prestigious award.
