“Khalifa Award”: starting the screening and judging of the works nominated for the 2024 session

Khaled Al-Abri: The arbitration process is based on absolute transparency with the aim of establishing a culture of excellence in the field

The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education announced the start of the stage of screening, judging and evaluating the nominated works for the current session 2024, which included 10 fields distributed into 17 categories covering various aspects of the educational process and these areas.

The offered fields are: the Distinguished Educational Personality granted to personalities who have made outstanding contributions to the educational process at the local and Arab levels, General Education (the category of creative teacher locally and in the Arab region and the category of institutional educational performance), Education and Community Service (the category of institutions, and the category Distinguished Emirati Families), People of Determination (Individuals Category, Institutions and Centers Category), The Field of Creativity in the Arabic Language Teaching (Distinguished Teacher Category, Distinguished University Professor Category Locally and Arably), Higher Education (Distinguished University Professor Category), and the Field of Educational Research (Research Category Educational), Educational Authorship for Children (educational innovations category, children’s literature studies research category), and the field of Educational Projects and Programs (individuals category, institutions category, and students category). The field of the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning, which was presented for the first time in the world with the aim of strengthening the process of promoting early childhood and highlighting the most prominent scientific and practical practices, as this field offers two categories: Best Research and Studies, and Best Programs, Curricula, Teaching Methodologies, and Practices.

Dr. Khaled Al-Abri, a member of the Award’s Executive Committee, stressed the keenness of the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education to select the best qualified experts and specialists within the arbitration committees, with its interest in providing diversity to the members of the arbitration committees at the local, regional and international levels, in addition to the diversity of their specializations, scientific expertise, and the prestigious educational and academic institutions to which each member belongs ensuring the delivery of the award’s message and objectives in consolidating excellence in the educational field.

Dr. Al-Abri pointed out the importance of this meeting, during which the arbitrators discussed a number of topics related to strengthening the award’s message in spreading excellence in the educational field and its vital role in discovering and nurturing educational and academic talents, and providing support that enables the winners in the award’s various sessions to enrich the learning environment at various educational levels at all levels.

Dr. Al-Abri also pointed out that the arbitration process for the nominated works takes place within a comprehensive framework of absolute transparency and objectivity, which is based on the excellence of the nominated projects and works, as well as the positive impact they have had in the educational field, which makes excellence a strategic choice for the various elements of the educational process.

During the meeting, Al-Abri referred to the time plan related to sorting, judging, and evaluating the nominated works, which are all done electronically by specialized teams from the arbitration committees that include a number of experts in the various fields proposed for the award, so that this process ends at the end of next March in preparation for announcing the names of the winners in the current session in May.
