“Khalifa Award” launches 10 applied workshops for excellence in its current session
Amal Al-Afifi: The award is keen to exchange distinguished experiences and initiatives between the winners and nominees in support of the educational field

The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education launched the Applied Excellence Workshops Program for its 17th session 2023-2024, at the Mohammed bin Zayed University of Humanities in Abu Dhabi, with the participation of a number of specialists in the fields presented in this session, including 10 fields at the local and Arab levels, including: Distinguished Educational Personality, General Education, Education and Community Service, People of Determination, Creativity in Arabic Language Teaching, Higher Education, Educational Research, Educational Authorship for children, and Innovative Educational Projects and Programs. Additionally, launching the second session of the Khalifa International Award for Early Leaning that includes: The Best Research and Studies category, and The Best Programs, Curricula, Teaching Methodologies and Practices.
Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary General of the Khalifa Award for Education, emphasized the importance of the Applied Excellence Workshops Program as it serves as a communication bridge between potential candidates for this session on the one hand, and winners and specialists from the arbitrators on the other, enhancing communication of ideas and the exchange of distinguished experiences and expertise in the education sector, both the university and the school. University programs and educational development strategies aimed at improving education at the local, regional, and international levels.
According to Al-Afifi, the training program includes ten practical workshops for excellence. Dr. Samira Al-Nuaimi and Mangala Al-Sharif spoke about the mechanisms of creativity for teachers in the General Education workshop, Creative Teacher category. Obaid Al-Taniji also spoke on the institutional educational performance category under General Education and people of determination, Dr. Rouhi, Obaidat, and Heba Al-Talawi, in the general education workshop. Dr. Sobha Al-Shamsi also gave a session on Education and Community Service, Dr. Majdi Bin Souf gave a workshop on creativity in Arabic language teaching, Dr. Labidi Bouabdallah and Dr. Habiba Al-Saffar gave a workshop on higher education, and Dr. Hassan Tirab gave a workshop on Educational Research.
The program also included a workshop on Educational Authorship for Children, led by Dr. Ghanem Al-Bustami, and a workshop on Innovative Educational Projects and Programs, led by Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hinai and Jihad Al-Riahi. Fatima Al-Bastaki spoke about the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning Field and its international significance.
During these workshops, speakers and attendees discussed excellence standards, nomination processes for each of the fields offered, and the controls that ensure nominated works win the award.
