The delegation of the General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education left the country on an official visit to Kingdom of Bahrain with the aim of strengthening the bonds of educational and academic cooperation with relevant institutions in the Kingdom, and defining the message and objectives of the Khalifa Award for Education and the areas presented in its sixteenth session, which includes ten areas distributed over seventeen categories covering Various aspects of the educational process, both university and pre-university.
The delegation consists of Muhammad Salem Al Dhaheri, member of the Board of Trustees, Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Award, Dr. Suad Al-Suwaidi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Award, Dr. Khaled Al-Abri, Dr. Jameela Khanji, and Hamid Ibrahim, members of the Executive Committee of the Award.
Amal Al-Afifi stressed the importance of this visit to the brotherly Kingdom of Bahrain, which aims to expand the base of awareness of the message and goals of the Khalifa Award for Education in the educational and academic fields in the sisterly Kingdom. The delegation will also hold a series of meetings with His Excellency Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak, Minister of Education, and leaders in the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom, as well as holding an introductory workshop on the award at the University of Bahrain, in addition to a meeting of the award delegation with leaders of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies and Research, and a visit to Al-Bayan School The model and learning about the development of the educational environment in it, and visiting the Sheikha Mozah bint Hamad Al Khalifa Comprehensive School for Girls, the Center for Gifted Students, the Child and Mother Welfare Society, and the State Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Al-Afifi indicated that the award delegation will present, during these meetings and visits, a comprehensive picture of the award’s message, its objectives and the areas presented in it, and the role of the award in spreading the culture of excellence locally, regionally and internationally, and highlighting the field of the Khalifa International Award for Early Learning, which is offered by the award for the first time in the world, and includes The categories of Best Research and Studies, and Best Programs, Curricula, Teaching Methodologies and Practices. The field aims to support the process of advancing childhood and early education, enriching the culture of excellence and creativity, encouraging research and studies, discovering, and appreciating advanced programs, methodologies and teaching methods, encouraging distinguished teachers, and activating the role of specialized educational centers, institutions and companies in childhood. Early childhood education, honoring the best individual experiences, paying attention to the field of people of determination in the field of early childhood, and promoting the dissemination of the best studies and the most successful practices and methodologies in the field of early education.
Al-Afifi appreciated the distinguished participations of the various elements of the educational field in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain in the various sessions of the award since its launch in 2007, and several of them topped the podiums as winners in its various sessions, noting the importance of this visit and its role in enhancing joint cooperation between the award and relevant educational and academic bodies.
