The Khalifa Award for Education is intended to discover successful individuals and educational practices at the local, regional and Arab world levels. It does so with the combined aims of promoting education, encouraging outstanding educators and enhancing innovative education practices. It has now been recognised as a world-class Award in the field of education.
As such, the Award seeks to take its well-deserved place at the forefront of reputable education awards within the UAE and beyond. It aims to release the potential capabilities of educators by creating an environment conducive to enabling them to excel in an honest competition that releases their innovative capabilities and recognises their outstanding educational skills.
Founded under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, the Award is now in its 13th iteration. It has thrived under the continuous follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and the continuous guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of Presidential Affairs and the Chairman of the Council of Trustees of the Khalifa Award for Education.
The Award’s primary objective is to motivate and promote the development of the educational field within the UAE, as well as in the Arab world at large. This is based on the conviction of the Award’s Board and General Secretariat that these two aspects complement each other. The Khalifa Award for Education has aimed, since its inception, at honouring excellent and creative individuals in various fields of education.
