The Khalifa Award for Education was created to enrich the development of the educational field and provide for an effective interaction between local, Arab and international contributors to the field. The Award’s aim is to usher in a new dynamism in the educational process, in tune with contemporary advancements in scientific knowledge and information technology. The diversity of the Award’s categories reflects the leadership’s commitment to the development of education, undoubtedly one of the mainstays for building qualified human capital and achieving sustainable human development. The Award is an active translation of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, “may God rest his soul,” wise vision that upholds the pivotal role of education in the country’s progress while reflecting the sound instructions and guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. It also promotes the guidelines of the federal government’s general strategy and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s public policy agenda. The re-launching of the Award’s website will emphasise these valuable efforts by government and community alike and encourage creativity in the field of education, leading to the attainment of the vital objective of empowerment of our national manpower.
Through tailored learning modalities, this can be achieved. These include, for each student, the enrichment of the process of character development and engendering a patriotic sense of national belonging. It also includes rewarding successful learning and effective creativity such that every student is able to deliver his or her contribution to his or her community and country. We are confident that the Award’s newly- redesigned website will encourage those working in the field of education to promote a culture of excellence and quality that will fulfill the country’s ambitions in terms of achieving sustainable national development .
“The Award’s aim is to usher in a new dynamism in the educational process, in tune with contemporary advancements in scientific knowledge and information technology.”
