The General Secretariat of the Khalifa Award for Education held a meeting for the teams of arbitrators and evaluators for the sixteenth session 2023, during which they discussed the mechanisms and criteria for arbitration in accordance with the time plan for the current session, so that the process of arbitration of the works nominated for the award begins today, “Friday”, which continues until the announcement of the names of the winners next May.
Amal Al-Afifi, Secretary-General of the Khalifa Award for Education, stressed the importance of this meeting, which brings together the award’s arbitrators, evaluators, and members of the executive committee at an important stage of the current session, especially after sorting the applications of the candidates and making sure that the nominated works meet the standards, controls and conditions specified for each field or category presented in the current session.
Al- Afifi stated that the arbitration process takes place within a comprehensive framework of absolute transparency and objectivity, which indicates the award’s dedication in spreading the culture of excellence in the educational field at the local, Arab and international levels, as the award presented in its current session 10 areas distributed over 17 categories, and this session received great demand from the various elements of the educational process, whether within the UAE and beyond.
During the meeting, Al-Afifi and the members of the arbitration and evaluation committees discussed several axes related to the development of the smart infrastructure for electronic applications through which the process of receiving, sorting and arbitrating the candidates’ works takes place, in a way that enhances and facilitates interaction with the local and international candidates.
