Innovation in Arabic Language Teaching

This field aims to provide a distinguished educational process in Arabic language and literature, enabling students to assimilate the taught material and acquire skills in using the Arabic Language. It also aims to motivate Arabic Language teachers in both government and private schools within the UAE, as well as at the University level.

Candidates may be Arabic Language teachers at public and private universities and academic institutions where teaching the Arabic language is part of the curriculum program, both in the UAE and throughout the Arab World.

Nomination Conditions (Innovative Arabic Language Teacher- General Education Sector, the UAE):

  1. The candidate must hold a recognized and duly attested university degree (Bachelor, master, Ph.D., Professional diploma after B.A.)
    from the country in which the attained degree is issued. The attained B.A. degree must be enlisted in the E-Candidature system along with other certificates, “if applicable.”.
  2. The Candidate should have completed three years as a general education teacher or a university lecturer teaching Arabic language
    and literature.
  3. The candidate is required to receive a rating of (Outstanding) in the annual performance evaluation in one of the three years required for nomination and not less than a (Exceeds Expectation) rating or (Meets Expectations) for the remaining two years

Nomination Conditions: Innovative Arabic Language University Lecturer- UAE & Arab World

  1. The candidate must hold a recognized and duly attested university degree (Bachelor, master, Ph.D., Professional diploma after B.A.) from the country in which the attained degree is issued. The attained B.A. degree must be listed in the E-Candidature system along with other certificates, “if applicable.”
  2. The lecturer should have spent five academic years or more in the field of teaching at a university and/ or in a higher education position in the UAE or Arab World, and is still teaching at the time of applying for the award, while providing proof of their ongoing teaching status.
  3. The Candidate must have obtained official technical reports issued by the University administration along with an ‘Excellent’ appraisal for the previous three consecutive years, and not less than a (Exceeds Expectation) rating or (Meets Expectations) for the remaining two years.
  4. The Lecturer shall be distinguished in his or her work compared to peers in the same profession, whether in the UAE or any country in the Arab World, as proven by the result of applying a set of academic instruments based on clear, specific criteria and key performance indicators (KPIs).
