Educational and Institutional Performance

 

First: The Creative Teacher (local) :

Whoever undertakes the tasks of teaching in education sector (public – private – vocational – technical – religious); in institutes, centers and schools that fall under the management or supervision of the UAE Ministry of Education or UAE education councils and authorities This Award is granted to the teacher distinguished by exceptional performance as evidenced by the results of applying a set of scientific instruments based on clear scientific criteria and specific performance indicators (A local Award).

 

Secondly: The Creative Teacher (Arab world) :

Is the one who carries out teaching tasks in the public education sector at the schools, institutes and centers managed by the ministries of education in the Arab sister counties  and grant this Award to the teacher who has exceptional performance, evidenced by the results of the application of a set of scientific instruments based on clear scientific criteria and specific performance indicators, so that the creative teacher Award in Arab world will be granted to (4) candidates annually. In case reaching of candidate to the winning level after the process of arbitration and evaluation approved by the general secretariat of the Award, the winner will be determined and his country.

Conditions for nomination in the field of Public Education (Creative Teacher at the UAE and Arab world level Category) :

Fill out the Candidate’s Personal Information Form after reviewing the General Instructions Page ( 14) .

The teacher should hold a recognized university degree appropriate to his teaching expertise.

The university degree should be attested by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The teacher should have spent three years or more in the field of teaching, and is still teaching at the time of applying to the Award

Attach a formal written letter of no objection for the nomination and recommendation from the institution the applicant belongs to (school, region or educational office) in the UAE. The nomination letters and recommendation shall be considered a condition to accept the candidacy application in all fields.

The school or the body which is giving the letter of nomination and recommendation is directly responsible for the validity of letter of nomination and recommendation and is subject to legal accountability by the general secretariat of Khalifa Educational Award.

Attach three formal technical reports on performance of the candidate for the last three years issued by the institution to which the candidate belongs (school, region or educational office), sealed and verified by and official seal and the official seal will be considered a condition for the acceptance of the technical report.

Third: The Promising Teacher (For UAE citizens) :

New Emirati teachers appointed within the last two years and undertaking the tasks of teaching in education sector (public – private – vocational – technical – religious); in institutes, centers and schools that fall under the management or supervision of the UAE Ministry of Education or UAE education councils and authorities This Award is granted to the UAE citizen teacher distinguished by exceptional performance (A local Award).

 

Conditions for nomination in the field of Public Education (Promising Teacher Category) :

Fill out the Candidate’s Personal Information Form after reviewing the General Instructions Page (14) .

The teacher should hold a recognized university degree appropriate to his teaching expertise.

The teacher should have spent two years in the field of teaching, and is still teaching at the time of applying for the Award.

The candidate must have obtained at least the degree “Very Good” in the technical report for the second year of teaching.

Attach a  letter of nomination and recommendation from the institution the applicant belongs to and nomination letters and recommendation shall be considered a condition to accept the candidacy application in all fields

 

Excellence and differentiation criteria for the field of (Promising Teacher) Category:

Characteristics of learners and learning needs.

The content of teaching material.

Teaching skills.

Assessment.

Professional responsibilities.

Fourth: Educational and Institutional Performance Category :

The schools, colleges, academies, training centers and equivalent institutions operating as one complete and comprehensive system and interacting with various elements of the educational community, focusing on different aspects and areas of educational performance based on the concept of institutional work. This institution, at the end, seeks to reach out to the strengths and aspects that need to be enhanced, leading to the development of performance and improvement of the quality of outputs and achieving the institute’s maximum degree of efficiency and effectiveness. This includes all education institutions (public – private – vocational – technical– religious – training centers).

 

The Award is granted to educational institutes, academies, training centers and equivalent institutions, distinguished by outstanding and creative educational performance in all areas of educational performance, as evidenced by the results of applying a set of scientific instruments based on clear scientific criteria and specific performance indicators. This local Award aims at activating the educational institutional work in the UAE.

 

Conditions for nomination in the field of Public Education / (Educational and Institutional Performance Category) :

Fill out the institution’s Personal Information Form after reviewing the General Instructions Page (14) .

Summary about the history of the institution and its activities and achievements in both Arabic and English.

«Recommendation» from the Education Council - Zone management - or the body or authority directly responsible for the school or institute or academy or training center. The recommendation is a condition for accepting the candidacy application.

A letter for the absence of administrative irregularities for the private schools, institutes, academies or training centers nominated for the Award, issued by the agency directly responsible for the school, institute or training center for the last three years, including the year in which they are applying for the Award.

A valid copy of the trade license issued by the municipality or the Ministry of Planning and the Chamber of Commerce.

Participation in the Award should be in the name of school, institute, academy or training center and not in the name of governing body members.
